About THE YOUTH PROGRAMS

Youth Mission

To empower, educate, and encourage all young people, especially to those who are often overlooked, bypassed, mistreated, abused and tossed away. We aspire for each of them to reach their full potential and provide unique and engaging programs and services to help prepare young adults for their future careers. Offering alternatives for youth while providing guidance, tools, skills and trade.

Vision for the Youth

To provide and assure success that is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, keeping them on track to graduate from high school with a plan, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle. Keeping them away from gangs, drugs and alternative lifestyles. We use a collaborative approach to our program design, partnering with government, education, non-profit and industry partners, in order to offer diverse career exploration opportunities.

Youth Leadership

As the next generation of leaders, today's youth have an important role to play in shaping the future. They bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a passion for change. Youth leadership is not just about holding positions of authority, but rather about taking initiative, inspiring others, and making a positive impact in their communities. By empowering young people to become leaders, we can create a better world for all. Through mentorship, education, and opportunities for growth, we can help young people develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed as leaders and change-makers. Together, we can build a brighter future and a more just society.

The YEA! program is about building the skills and confidence for youth to thrive in business and life. The Young Entrepreneurs Academy has developed a program that teaches students how to select, research, vet, develop, and market a business. From idea generation to pitching their businesses for startup investment funds, this course is truly transformative.

“Program @ the Center”

Program is just that. A weekly program created and developed by the youth based on there needs. The youth name this weekly “program” because it was structure in lives of young people who had no guidance or direction and were provided with just the opposite. Each week the youth explore team building skills, mind teasers, health and education workshops while learning life skills.

YOUth LEADership

YOUth LEADership

You Lead, Youth Leadership is a unique workshop-style design that enables Youth participants to develop their speaking and leadership skills through practical experience. Through the youth leadership program, young people gain the skills and knowledge to lead civic engagement, education reform, and community organizing activities. As youth development program grows, the focus shifted from keeping kids from engaging in delinquent behaviors to developing youth’s skills and helping them grow into successful adults. The conceptual shift reinforces the idea that "youth problems are the principal barrier to youth development to thinking that youth development serves as the most effective strategy for the prevention of youth problems” (Youth Development).
